    Hunting Andice Tx

Has anyone hunted in Andice before? I got permission to hunt a 5000acre place in Andice/Florence the property owner says there are a few nice bucks including a 12pt that he says will be in the 150s....I find it hard to believe, went scouting two saturdays ago and everything I saw was under 120 and under 3yrs. Anyone who has land there or has hunted there what should I expect? Should I believe that there are decent bucks there or just find one thats mature and passes the AR and not even worry about scoring. I can only hunt this place twice (6days total) and don't want to pass on some venison just to hunt this "unicorn" buck.

Also he told me his place is over run with poachers, is that area prone to poaching? If so I won't put up any trail cams.

Andice has plenty of deer and a few decent ones but I have never seen anything over 125-130. That being said that doesn't mean there aren't any. Some places around there have tons of hogs as well. Not sure on the poaching part. Good luck and I wouldn't be waiting for a 150 out there if I was you.

I saw a really really good 8 close to Andice about a month ago. On a county road that cuts over to Liberty Hill.

150's will be awful hard to come by. So will 130's. Anything about 120 there i'd drill it. Its just not big buck territory.

I live down the road in North Lake and know of a few outlaws in that area.

On 5000 acres there, the pressure may be light enough for deer to reach maturity, but I wouldn't count on it.

I wasn't aware of a ranch that big there.

the ranch is split in three sections total of 5k, he has a nice lion on one of his sections too and lots of turkey very few exotics. I can shoot anything I want there but it goes against my ethics to shoot anything under 4.5 and ofcourse theres the AR restrictions as well to deal with. Hopefully I'll get lucky no one has hunted anything but dove there so lots of animals running around.
