Last year we had 40 doe permits and only 2 hunters (out of 4 hunters total) shooting does. (Myself and another hunter.)
My question - Do you all take a good number of does early in the season with a rifle? It would seem a little odd to break out the rifle in October, but I'd rather harvest them before the rut. Of course - I'd prefer to only use my bow, but logistically speaking, it's just not practical to take the number of deer we are suppose to be taking with only stick/string. Besides - bullets are a heck of a lot cheaper than arrows and broadheads.
