Been there. Won't go back. No food for the animals and they were skin and bones. The two pigs I shot thanked me for the mercy!

Hunted there a couple times awhile back.Like a yr ago.Always killed hogs. When the feeder went off they were everywhere. The cabin was about the size of a prison cell and the cleaning rack was absolutley horrible.I have seen some nasty stuff that i could over look but that was pretty bad in my book. The hogs we killed all were covered in fleas to the point where it was almost impossible to clean them.Mixed reviews here.I had fun hunting but the animals for the most part seemed to be in poor shape and the facilitys were less than stellar. The blinds were covered up in Daddy Long leg Spiders....they wont hurt you but 6 million of them crawling on you will give you the creeps.I moved a chair out and sat in the brush.Never saw any TROPHY animals there but i was always hog hunting or after a axis doe.I heard he changed quite a bit but i havent been back since so i couldnt say yes or No.For $100 and if you didnt stay the night it probably wouldnt be that bad.

Danny has cleaned the place up and put some time into it to make it a good experience. I have hunted there a few times and I enjoyed it. My pigs never had fleas and were plump enough to make sausage out of. Fleas happen, especially in wild animals. For $100, 2 pigs was a great opportunity and well worth the money.

We did a bachelor party out there June 17th 2 years ago. 6 guys. We show up and the guide is over an hour late. I get to my stand. The inside is full of trash. I'm cleaning it up and I hear the feeder spin but no corn is thrown.

After I clean up my box blind. I get out go shake the feeder a little bit falls out. We brought 6 bags with us. So I call the "guide" (really he's just a boy of 14) who comes flying up to the feeder on his gator jumps out and starts throwing corn all over the place. He then proceeds to lecture me about not getting out of my stand.

I walk back, kinda mad. But what ever. Get in my box blind. It's too far for any real bow shot so the boy er um guide gave me his gun to use. I did not want to gun hunt but they only had 3 bow blinds set up. But whatever.

So now I'm sitting in a box blind with a gun I've never shot waiting on a pig to show up that I paid $175 for. I was covering partial cost of the bachelor due to the fact that my other buddies are all broke turds.

Ok it's like 8:15 by now. There is a group of assorted goats that have been in the dirt plains watching all of this go on. They know I'm in the blind but are so hungry they come in and eat any ways. For the next 2 hours I roast in the box blind waiting for the boy to come pick me up because the parade of goats cleaned out all of the corn and hour and 45 min ago.

Danny comes around this time to pick me up. As soon as he gets there he starts asking about the money. I tell him it's in the truck and all accounted for.

After we pick up three other hunters, we drive to the trucks. We mill around a bit and he asks for the money. I pay him. He gets the other hunters and brings them back to camp.

Three of us load up in his little gator and he starts driving all over his 200 acre pen looking for pigs and a oryx that has come up missing. We drive all over for about an hour. No pigs but we finally find the dead oryx. It's past 1 pm by this point.

So he takes us back to the trucks and tells us to go get some lunch and he will take us out again. We come back and decide that we want the bachelor to get his first kill ever and the rest of us would hang back.

So off the go. 45 min they come back with a 23lb piglet. Danny at DB got $750 for a 23lb pig. He said we could come back. But never ever returned our phone calls, texts, or emails.

I do not think much of DB Ranch. Save $50 more and go to Tenroc

The intent of letting my buddy go out a lone was that he is from Abilene and the rest of us live in the Austin area. So we would be able to get back out there to kill our animals. The opportunity to go back was never granted.

It's not a Hunting Ranch either... It's more like a sparse goat pasture.
