    Deer Processing College Station

I think I'm going to take my meet somewhere this year. Where do people around here take their deer? Do you just quarter them out and drop them off?

I've never had a deer processed so I'm not sure what the process is

I take mine to a TBH'er out of Snook. Best price, service and quality/flavor around. Nolan and his FIL do awesome work!

I do my own but when I want to have sausage made I take it to Readfields or to Snook to Slovaceks.

The fellow that use to own Slovaceks is Nolan's FIL!

BTW, to answer your question, you can take them a deer still skinned and he can take it from there. I took him some deboned last year I was going to grind up to get sausage made. Stop by some time and I'll let you try some. It's the best dry sausage I've ever had!

Hi Brazos Hunter, hadn't seen your name pop up in a while!

              Is Nolan his screen name?

another for Slovacek's. When I lived in Corpus we would bring it all the way up there to get our sausage. We would take like 4 deer at a time to make it worth it.

I haven't been on much between work and getting ready for this coming weekend and season.

No its not. Shoot me a text and I'll give you his contact info. I don't want to post his screen name because he's not sponsor.

Now some dry sausage will get my attention. The one thing Slovaceks doesn't do that I would like this year is dry sausage.

I have used Slovacek for several years, but last time I took some meat there to have sausage made, I got sausage back, as well as some lead and copper. My deer deer was not a gun kill. I understand that on the sausage making that it's all mixed together, but I would have thought that they would have caught this. I'm not talking about a little piece of copper, it was the whole jacket peeled back.

The flavor of their jalapeno and cheese is about the best that I've had though.
