Romo took a viscious hit from McCoy right in the ear hole. I don't recall if he was flagged (should have been), but while it was a hard, helmet to helmet hit, I don't think there was ill intent other than to separate Romo from the ball (it worked). I was afraid Romo wasn't going to get up from that one when they showed him with his eyes closed on the ground.

I think the differnence in McCoy's hit and Mays' hit was that Mays led with the crown of his helmet and launched himself into Schaub. Taken in context with the previous play on which Von Miller (disappointing) hit Schaub late, wrapped up his arms and drove him into the ground, I think the Denver D was looking to get Schaub out of the game, even if it was illegal.

As for Cowboy bias, I see more Cowboy "fans" ripping Romo and making him a scapegoat than I do anybody else. Maybe there's your bias!

Exactly. Schaub actually said the hit wasn't that bad and didn't see what was wrong with it. Well, besides losing a piece of his ear. But let's face it, he wasn't winning any beauty contests any time soon. There is only one good looking qb in Texas, and he has the track record to prove it.

I personally think the fine was excessive. I think the NFL fines will increase as the year goes on so Goddell can pad the "bring back the real refs" kiddy.

Anybody see the NFL power rankings lately? I was wondering who they have listed as #1 this week?

If you cant handle it then quit and give back the money. They takes hits all there life and then all of a sudden the get to the NFL and the hits are to bad give me a break. Im not saying that some hits are on purpose but at the same time the guys going after the QB is doing his job. Its to stop the QB from making passes wether that be by hitting him hard and leaving that in the back of his mind or whatever else. But some of you guys saying they should suspend him the whole season and fine him 500K come on thats ridiculous. They are PROFESSIONAL athletes. This is what they get paid to do. Go back 50 years you wouldnt see any of the old greats complaining about stuff like this.
really the old players wouldn't complain. who do you think is trying to sue the NFL for injuries they sustained.

Lol player gets paid millions upon millions to play a contact sport, and I'm supposed to understand them holding back so they don't get hurt? I'm supposed to feel bad they don't have any money left over at the end of thier career because they screwed it all away? This is why I don't watch football anymore. Ever seen Mike Singletary bust through the line? Better yet seen D!ck Butkis come through the line looking like a maniac and just trying to pick which target to unleash hell on? That was football.

More pussification of the world, just a different angle. Seeing it in schools, jobs, goverment, ect. Wonder when they are going to start nailing volleyball players for spiking the ball "to hard", I mean gosh Sally someone could get hurt.

X100! This is a full contact sport! Don't play or watch the game if you don't like it!

I'm pretty sure Schaub will be ok without your sympathy.

I'm tired of people lumping all the NFL players into a single bunch. In what world does that make sense? It's like saying all bow hunters are the same. Is it true that since some bow hunters choose to use unethical hunting practices, you do the same since you are a bow hunter?

Another thing that wears me out is how everyone wants to compare them to the old players. It's a different game now, and far from pussified.

And as far as everyone saying I don't watch football anymore, I'm sure the NFL is ok with that as well. They seem to be doing ok even tho the "real football fans" don't watch the game anymore because it's "pussified".

Where did Schaub cry? The league issued the fine and suspension. How is it Schaub's fault?

Here we go again bunching all football players into one group. Great rationale.

Oh...the same TOUGH players that are suing the league for hundreds of millions if not billions? The OLD TIME players yall brag about are borderline brain dead and committing suicide left and right are the ones that have brought about all these rule changes with their lawsuit.
