What's up with Halff Brothers Ranch?

In my search for a new hunting adventure I went to the Hallf Brothers website. It says "We are no longer outfitting the ranch."
What is up?

When people get too much interest lots of time it is hard to keep up with all of it... they may just not be taking any more calls... dunno

They leased the ranch last year for $32.00 an acre. Got out of the outfitting.

19600 acres @ $32/acre = $627,200
Of course it doesn't sound so bad if you divide it by 25 hunters = $25,088 each! Sign us up Tink!!

Thats's what I heard from a biologist that was helping them decide what to do.

Gah... Man I would have a problem leasing because I would be giving up control the deer herd, and that is what makes it fun...
That's a decent chunk of change though...
Wonder what I would do during deer season...

Encinal, I DOUBT they gave up any of the management decisions. Sounds like maybe a corporate gig for that type of money. More than likely they are still controlling the hunting etc.

Man that's gonna be hard to do with that much money involved...
Going to be hard to control people that come back time and time again... they start to feel entitled to participate in the decision making process...
Did they kill anything over 178 this year?
