What do you do in the stand to pass the time

I nap in the climber till it gets light enough to see. Then im constantly scanning for "the ghost that pops in within 15 yards without seeing it coming". If im in the rifle blind with wife and kids im wide awake trying to convince my kids that we will see deer if they will just sit still and quit banging their feet on the walls of the blind. I bet im the only person in history this happens to huh?

Usually mess with my phone or read. And sometimes I may even drink a cold one or two if I'm in a box blind.

I go old school. No electronics, just hunting. Always looking, listening, etc. I've seen deer just magically appear in range. Sure would hate to blow it on a big one because I couldn't keep my head out of some electronic contraption for a few hours.

Relax and enjoy the surroundings. We have a high deer population so there is always something in the area. I'll have my Iphone with me and will occasionally check in with the other members to see how their hunt is going.

If the Horns are playing, I have been known to stick an earbud in the ear to listen but not if I have a good deer on camera and he has been showing himself pretty consistently.
