Bobcat Eating Protien?

Thats a first for me.. Cat is eating the Big & J Cube.. Friend at Arrow Seed in Nebraska sent this to me..

Unusual.. Maybe it tastes some minerals in it or something..

we had a new guy on our lease a few years ago that came back to camp the first time claiming all our deer were needing minerals cuz he witnessed several doe licking the feeder barrels. The guy running our lease at the time loaded us all up and we went to town and bought a pick up truck full of mineral blocks to put out all over the lease. A few weeks later I was sitting in that same blind and sure enough these does started licking the barrel. I get down to investigate and there was a large bullet hole in the barrel and every time they licked it, a few kernels would fall out LOL

Not to poopoo on your thoughts there Jamie, but this was my first thought. Based on what I saw when I used a Big N J block though, cat was probably eating it!

I had a cayote eating corn under my feeder a couple of times ........ then he died of lead poisoning. true story - LOLOLOL

He says the cat was there for a while.. But could be a lot of different things.. Just something Ive never seen whatever it is..

my dogs kills protein, whenever he sees a feeder he'll take off and eat the corn or protein off the ground or if its free choice he takes advantage.
