    Broken hand Blues .......

As if my luck can't continue, I broke my hand last night, on the outside part just above my wrist. I got a splint applied today after x-rays, and have a follow up with an Ortho tomorrow. Doc today said it did need a cast, but would need to wait a couple of days for the swelling to go down. Break was clean and won't require surgery.

Has anyone shot with a cast ? I've been shooting a handle, but thinking a wrist strap "might" work ?

So what did you hit? lol. I've broke mine their 3 times and no your not pulling a bow like that. I've tried several times. Round up a cross bow and try something new. I am and I'm unbroken this year "So Far" lol

I ride saddle broncs in rodeos and didn't make the pick up man after the 8 seconds. Gravity caught up to me and I landed on my hand. I'm as bummed as bummed can be. 6 days away from season and I might not be ready till mid November even

I shot with a cast on a few years ago. Drill a hole in the cast in the palm of your hand and take a carabiner and take out the locking part. Then put a piece of flat iron on the end of your release to hold it in the carabiner. Itll hold just like a wrist strap. Hope this makes sense.

              Your not alone.
Dropped 800 on a new bow
Got signed up for my first hunt
& 2 weeks later cut my hand 1/2 way off
              Total bummer.
I'm out for the season for sure
Hopefully you get better news & can at least rifle hunt

Nylon strap looped from your elbow attached to the release. That way, no pressure will be applied at the break. Might taked some adjusting, but easy once you get it just right.

                Been there, done that.

Y'all hang in there, I had a major hand injury this same time last year that knocked me out for most of the season, keep your friends and family close and you'll get through it. Prayers up.

Read above. It works, so long as you can pull the trigger.

Back from the doctor. 1 broken and 1 "misplaced" bone. No surgery needed, but out till November..... On the flip side, I got out of a bulky, permanent cast, and got into this fitted, tension-adjustable one
