For future reference...if they were cussing and being rude, any good LEO will take them to jail for disorderly conduct (if in public anyone takes offense to someone's actions)

I took the wife and kids to IHOP tonight. (my girls love the place). There is this couple in the corner being disruptive making gagging sounds, yelling, laughing a little profanity etc. Just disturbing pretty much everyone in the place, but of course no one wanted to say anything. They were about done with their food so I figure I would tolerate it for a short time. They continue to get louder and the poor waiter even offered to get them their check trying to be nice but move them along in a subtle manor, but to no avail.

Finally I had enough and pulled the manager aside and asked him to do something about it. He kind of looked puzzled and unsure of himself. And I might add the manager was a small guy and the male offender was wearing a Tapout shirt (scary)
I told I'm if he didnt want to deal with it I would go take their remaining food away from them and direct them to the nearest door. He decided that he would give it a shot before using my suggested tactics. He talked to them and they left shortly after.

I do not understand why people will just let someone be a jerk. I'm not the type of guy who goes looking for trouble but I will not tolerate people being disrespectful of others. Especially someone using profanity around children and women. Simply not acceptable.

I agree with you, thank you for taking action, wish more people would.

Good for you! People are just stupid in public sometimes and need to be put in their place! You did the right thing. I would've liked to read the next part of the story had the manager not got them to leave though!
