If you can help this lady she would greatly appreciate it.

My family recently learned of a woman who lives alone in Dallas and has been in desperate need of help. Her church pastor has been so kind to pay for new kitchen cabinets, lumber for floor joists and wall studs, and much much more. So far he alone has spent over $1000 of his own money. My family and myself as well as friends and relatives have been collecting things to donate to her.
Her house was literally rotting to the ground. She did not let anyone know that for over a year she has not been able to use her kitchen sink, as it fell through the rotten counter top. The floor even fell in where water from the plumbing leaked as well as rain water that was able to leak past the siding.

The church she attends has a very small congregation and some of them are in need too and can't help. I made a delivery the other day to her house and saw for myself just how bad her situation is. She does not own a car and has to walk to the store and church usually, unless someone gives her a ride. This is not in a nice neighborhood at all.

I was waiting to hear back from her pastor before posting this, but thought that since her needs are great, I should get the word out asap.

It's probably best that if you can help whether it be financially or by donating needed items to her, that you do so through her church.

I'm waiting to hear back from her pastor to find out where others that might want to help financially can send their donations to if they want to help this lady.

While I'm waiting to hear from him, here is a list of some things that she needs badly:

1). A good used washer and electric clothes dryer.

2). Electric or gas stove---hers quit working and is in awful condition

3). Dining room furniture---she doesn't even have a table or chairs in the kitchen

    4). Living room furniture

    5). Window blinds/curtains

    6). Storm door

7). Bath towels and wash cloths

    8). Blankets

    9). Bed and frame

    10). Toilet

11). Vanity and sink with faucet for the bathroom

    12). Tub/shower kit

13). An electrician to repair and make safe the electrical wiring in the house. She is not able to use the electical outlets in certain rooms.

This lady had given up hope on things changing and had come to accept the conditions she has been living in since she was too embarrassed to let people know and had no way to make repairs herself.

If you might be able to help in some way, please feel free to let me know. Just as soon as I hear from her pastor about where and how to donate, I'll post that info.

Thanks very much if you can help in some way.
