String stop... question

Do you want the string stop touching the string when the bow is undrawn.

From what the pros have told me, you should be able to slide a business card between the stop and string.

I was told by bow shop pro that you want a slight gap between stop and string. He said you want to be able to slide a credit card between them. That is how mine is and don't seem to have any problems.
