    Dang hogs

A few questions. Im not a hunter at all. I do love to shoot guns and my bows.
Can you shoot these dang things any time of the year for freezer meat, or is there certain time of the year. Do you need a license to kill the critters. If anybody needs any help cullin these buggers out call let me know so when I get back home. Next June maybe. I know hunting season will be over but still take out the trash and I can sling some pig stickers.

Yes you can kill them anytime. Small ones taste better in the 40 to 80 lb range. I usually clean the ones that don't stink to bad. But I shoot everyone I can get a shot at.

And you do need a license to hunt them, no farmers will not let you on their land to hunt them.

But they are fun when you get into them. I clean and eat every hog I shoot, size makes no difference to me.

If someone you knew was having depredation issues, you would not need to have a license if they asked you to come take care of them. Private property of course.

But then you would have to leave them where they drop and he specifically mentioned wanting some for the freezer.

Maybe none you have talked to but if you do enough asking it is possible. I have 5 different properties that I have permission to hunt, heck they even let me shoot deer and turkeys. You may get turned down 20 straight times but if you keep at it you will probably find a place. Heck, I have turned down places to pig because I just don't have time for them all. If you do a good enough job with killing pigs they tell their farmer friends and then they want you to come out kill pigs.

^What he said especially the last sentence. None of the farmers I hunt for has ever asked me for a license but I do have one just because it is the right thing to do.
