    Havalon knives are awesome

Ok if you have not tried these you are missing out. We skinned all 6 with only 3 blades because 1 blade did break. In my book, it is well worth the money!

which blades were you using..? im using the 60 stainless,,on larger hogs(120 + lbs) i tend to have a problem with mine, especially when i get to the shield area, smaller 50 pounders works nicely.. yotes raccoons and rabbits also works awsome. is there a tougher blade for them?

I saw just how sharp these knives are last year elk hunting. Alan (Shockvalue) was cut and didn't even know it...until the blood kept reappearing after he cleaned his hands!!

I purchased one of the orange Z-Blade knives from Academy two years ago for around $5 just because it looked like a scalpel like I use at work. To my surprise that little booger would cut. We dressed two deer and a hog with one blade. I bought several more after that and will probably continue to do so for the price point. I have access to disposable surgical scalpels at work but they do not last very long even on human soft tissue so I doubt that they would be worth anything on an animal.
