My advice.... don't do it. get contact lenses, soft or gas permeable.... I had lasik done in 2007. the result - kerataconitis - cones on the cornea. My vision was going bad, especially in my right eye. I thought it was bad astigmatism. I now have gas permeable lenses to stop the progression of this (kind of like a helmet keeping things in place) I am lucky, at its worse - a corneal transplant!
I had it done in 2001. No problems until last year. It turns out that it is not as perminant as they make it out to be. I started having sight issues. Went back to the doc and he said "well you got 10 yrs out of it. Some get more some get less". Looks like I get to have it re-done this year. More $$$ out of my pocket into his, but I HATE contacts and glasses.

Do you which procedure was done on yours? Was the laser used for creating the flap or did they use a blade of some kind?
Mann Eye, had mine last October, the wife in Jan, and referred at least half a dozen coworkers who all have had it done at Mann in Katy this year.
I visited Berkley paid the fee for the exam and they just seemed to not have it together. They seemed more interested in collecting my $$ and getting another sucker in the door. I ended up over at Mann Eye and was blown away about how professional and attentive their entire staff was. Huge plus is they dont charge you for the exam any a couple time a year they run a special $1200 off
Had the interlase procedure, went from wearing contact at -8 power to 20/15 vision cost me $3700
I went to Slade & Baker in Houston. They have been performing lasik since 98'. They are awesome, and I would definetly recommend them to anyone. One can google their website. I had PRK surgery back in 2006 and can still see perfect.
