    Throw n grow food plots

Anybody used the throw n grow food plot seed you can get at Walmart. Thinking of gettin a few bags to sling out. Just wanting to know if anybody else has used and what kind of results you got with it.

IF you are gonna do throw and grow go get it yourself at the feed store and pay way less and get way more.

White and red clover, cereal rye (not rye grass), turnips, chicory would be a good choice for just broadcasting and walkng away.

throw and grow is pretty much rye grass, check the percentage on the package its like 93% rye garss.

it works but dont know what kind your trying to grow.

Good thread! I have been thinking about a throw and go plot for a hard to reach stand I just put up in a big bottom.
I will be watching this one!

If you have alot of turkeys, you might just be throwing out some feed!

I threw out a bag last week, and had some good rain since then, so hopefully I will have a small little food plot.

Was surprised today when I got to the lease. I threw the seeds last wednesday and today I had abour 4 or 5 inches of Rye Grass & Clovers

Planted some in Oklahoma this past weekend. I'll let you know next Saturday...it was sprinkling and drizzling as we left, so hopefully it was enough moisture. It was clover, rye grass and brassicas (I think). For sure clovers and rye

We tilled and cleared a spot about a 1/4 acre. Not sure if anyone else did or if they just threw it out there.

I've used it quite a few times. Small plot with adequate light grew a lot of grass. It's mostly rye with a little clover.

We planted some in some thick timber and got a good stand.
