The next generation of fishermen...

I took CJ to the Frisco Commons Park for an hour or so over the weekend, TX Parks & Wildlife released a bunch of little trout for KidFish 2008. We got a few bites, but didn’t catch any…but CJ sure looks like he had a good time. We’re still working on the “One, use your thumb…Two, swing back…Three, THROW!!!”

I got momma to agree to let me take him on the boat this summer, so I'm looking forward to some good times...can't wait to see him in the middle of a bunch of schooling sandies.

When I was putting him to bed that night, he asked if we could go fishing a bunch this year!

As far as not catching any fish, I told my kids "that's why they make a next time".

He's got one of the little fiberglass(plastic?) kids bows with the rubber handle, hasn't shown much interest in it yet (he just turned 3 in October) even when he's seen me practicing with my compound. But, he loves to be outside, so as long as it keeps his attention we'll try fishing, archery, shooting the .22s, throwing the football(he likes to have me hold it and him run up and kick it), etc. on a regular basis and go with whatever he gets an interest in...I hope all of the above!
