A buddy of mine had the same thing happen when he was changing a truck tire last Spring.He started taking the tire off and the snake started singin to him from the other side of the tire.I think that was his very first rattlesnake encounter so he didn't know what that noise was either......until he pulled the tire off.
You gotta watch out for them rascals.They'll show up in places you least expect them to be sometimes.

Man be careful. Sounds like, if you'll excuse the pun, "you're snake bit"! I grabbed a handful of red wasps when I went to hook up my disk Saturday. I'm very careful around all of my farm equipment. Had a large hognose set up residence in my grain drill one year.
