    Martin Archery questions.

Is anyone shooting a Martin bow? Just wondering how they like it. looking for a little input some pros and cons. And why are Martin bows price so much more reasonibly than others? Are they made of lesser quality? Really I hear alot of good thing about them but I'm just curious as to why so inexpensive.

I shoot a Martin and it is a great bow. i just think they don't spend a ton of money on advertising like the big boys. I like it so much I bought another one on impulse, and while waiting for it to come in I was shooting my old bow and the groups of arrows were touching each other. I thought to myself, well that was dumb, you didn't really need the new one huh!

I can split arrows with my Martin exhile
Pros: cheap, fast, accurate, lightweight, short ATA

Cons: on the cables there is a plastic glide where more expensive bows have a roller. And while it is not loud, I notice that more expensive ones are a lot more quietf

        Marketing, Marketing, Marketing........

they have been around for literally years, as Gail Martin is one of the founding fathers of modern archery. you can't stay in business for 60+ years building junk. Martin still has their devoted followers, and i owned a Slayer -X a few years ago and had no problems.

hard to beat for the price, and they will still kill animals just as dead as brand A, B, or C

i just read on another site, directly from Martin Archery, that they plan on stepping it up in 2013, specifically in the marketing, doing some major updgrades, adding more pro series bows, and all while maintaining excellent pricing

I shoot a 2 year old Cheetah. Shoots fine, pretty quick. As stated above, it's not overly quiet. I put extra silencers on and it helped tremendously. Good luck.

Shoot a 3 yr old Cheetah. As stated, maybe not as quiet as bows costing hundreds more, but absolutely NO quality issues.

I shoot an 09 Bengal. And it gets the job done. After shooting a few newer bows my only complaint is the back wall is not as solid as some other brands.
Just got new custom strings and it made a huge difference in how it draws and feels.

Yep. New custom strings this year also (replacing factory strings) and definite improvement.

My son shoots a cheetah and I have a Bengal and shoot a MOAB. All 3 were less than a grand. Probably the best customer service in the business. Ive had members on here tell me they weren't very good because they didn't cost a 1000 or more. Pft

I'm having Korbin strings put on mine right now, we'll see if there are any noticeable improvements.

So it's really all about marketing eh? Well they are inexpensive enough I might just wait until 2013 models come out and see what happens from there. All I know is that my buddy shoots a onza III and it is awesome. Thas what got me to thinking about it.

Not less quality. Inventor of the Solo Cam. Inventor of riser dampening. And been around for decades. They dont need to jack the price up. They will shoot with anything out there. They also have the Rytera line.

I now shoot a Mathews, because I made the mistake of shooting a Z7 and fell in love. Prior to that I too shot a Cheetah and while it was a little louder than some bows, the elk looking down on my from above my fireplace never heard a thing. I honestly don't know why I changed from Martin, but it certainly wasn't because of their product.

ill stick with martin, im on my first martin bow, its a firecat it was a huge improvement over my last bow, very fast and pretty quiet, veryy accurate. my main thing is im happy with the bow got a pretty good prce buying a fairly new bow used and when i had a problem they sent me a new set of limbs free including sipping no questions asked even though i bought it used and had no warrantly paperwork. All i had to do was take it to a bow shop have them look at it and verify there was a probloem once they said ok limbs were sentt out and shop replaced them . That says alot about their customer service.
