A friend has a decent mule deer crossing his place and is wanting to set up an ambush spot. There are a few in the area but he hasn't ever had one on camera at a feeder. Was just curious whether anyone has had them visit a feeder regularly? Any success with any other forms of baiting?

Will mule deer visit a corn feeder?

In my experience, I think it depends on what food is available to the mulies. I hunt a place that consists of 75% mulies vs 25% whitetail. I have hunted there for 7 or 8 years and can count on one hand how many muley bucks I have seen at the feeder. By the same token, I have a friend that hunts about 5 miles from me that shoots a muley buck every year over a feeder. I really don't think corn is high demand on my lease for mulies. On the other hand, alfalfa hay will dray them in like clock work anywhere I have hunted them. If you can bait them with fresh alfalfa hay and keep the cows out, you are in business!
Hope this helps.
