I know this has been addressed many times in the past, but it's time for another reminder about personal signatures. I'd like to ask each person to take the time to review their signatures and determine if it is appropriate for the site, in terms of content and in terms of whether it fits within the guidelines we've established for the site regarding advertising.
I understand there is a fine line in a lot of cases. From past experience, I know that there will be specific questions on what is and is not acceptable. I don't want to turn this into specifics, but in general...
Acceptable
Tolerable
Not Permitted
Also, I understand the desire to have your signature stand out, but please refrain from increasing the font size to achieve that objective.
In short, as with your posts, simply ask yourself if your signatures add positive value to the site (this site, of course), or does it detract or distract from it? If you can't answer the former question affirmatively, then it likely doesn't belong.

Acceptable
- Links to your personal hunting video clips (tasteful, of course)
- Your personal email address
- Your actual name if different from your handle
- Inspirational, educational or humorous quotes...provided they are tasteful/respectful to the site and site members
Tolerable
- Membership to non-commercial (nonprofit or not for profit) hunting organizations such as LSBA, TBOT, NRA, WLF, etc
Not Permitted
- Links to your personal websites or spaces (including ******* type sites, and also youtube and other video sites that often have improper content on "related" videos).
- Links to other sites, especially other forums. It absolutely baffles me when I see this as to why anybody would think linking to a competing site or forum would be ok. I understand that this isn't the only site that you may visit, and that's perfectly acceptable, but I certainly don't care to advertise or promote any competing sites or forums.
- Quotes with improper content, language or references that may be offensive or insulting to other site members.
