    iPhone tip of the day.

Disclaimer: I'm a rabid Android guy, but part of my job requires me to occasionally collect data from iPhones. I am often asked to collect voicemail etc for evidence.

Short of Jailbreaking, which I wouldn't try on a clients phone anyway...

I found a cool program that gives you access to the iPhone and/or iPad file system and other areas in the event you need/want to offload things like voice-mail to a Mac or PC without having to capture them in real time using audio cable and something like Audacity(which works fine, but can be time consuming.

Sure, you might be able to do some of this with iTunes... but I prefer not to even have iTunes on my work computer. Just started using it myself, easy, intuitive interface.

The Program is DiskAid, runs about $24(download purchase)

Screenshot of it connected to my iPad.

Just gave it the first run with a clients iPhone...works like a charm.

        Texts
        Call logs
        Voice mail

No more streaming capture for hours.

Sorta... you use the "Copy to Device" icon(pictured above), then a window opens, you browse to what you want, etc.

Haven't tried it but, but d&d does look possible... layout is similar to any Windows Explorer window.
