The new iPhone 5 was announced yesterday. It's pretty slick. Just get an otterbox case and you won't break it. They have a couple videos about the new phone here: http://www.apple.com/

It sounds to me like your real issue is phone durability/protection not platform. Whatever you pick, which is mostly just your personal preference, make sure you can get the case you want for it that fits your lifestyle.

I had a Samsung Fascinate droid and my daughter had an Iphone. She wanted my droid because she liked it better and I didn't think I cared one way or the other which phone that I had so we swapped. I want my droid back. I liked it a whole lot more than the Iphone. It was faster, more apps available that are free and much more user friendly.

My wife wanted an iphone until she saw the samsung galaxy s3. Its a great phone.

I've been following since I'm due an upgrade in a couple of weeks. I have an HTC Evo now that I've had for a couple years and I've been pretty happy with it. I've never had an I phone. I think I'll stick with what I'm familiar with. I just have to decide what droid upgrade I want to go with.

Iphone is a good phone, but many androids are just as good. some better, some way worse. Advantage to an Iphone is you don't have to do homework since they are all the same, fairly good. I have had two androids, the HTC EVO 4g and Samsung Galaxy SII for about 6 months. I like both of these phones really well, but like the EVO a little better.

i know this is an old thread but the wife and i just each got the S3. we had the iphone 4 and i didnt see a big enough change from the 4 to 4s to 5 to justify the money we would spend on it so we decided to go with the droids. Any new advice from those of you with the galaxy s3 on what to download and what not? i can say so far the one major suck factor is i lost my tapatalk but at less than five bucks ill just buy it again

Exactly. However, I do think there is an audience for iPhone that should just stick with it, because it's very user friendly. If you want to play and get creative, bring on the 'Droid.

Messed up my evo n the only phone that was available at sprint store was I phone 4 . It is a piece of s**t.Its slow,hardly any apps that don't cost an arm n leg, touch screen sensitivity sux,can't hold Internet connection,and I don't like apple.Itsore of a lemon.Will be gettin me evo 4g LTE Monday morning.Apple I phone is nothing more than hype

I loved my Samsung Note until I got my new note 2 and love it more. I I was an apple guy about 3 years ago and will never go back to that company they don't make anything I want.

Weel the wife and myself just switched to Sprint from AT&T and I got the IPhone 4S and she the Galaxy 3S, she say she wised she would have gotten the IPhone.
I went from a Blackberry that I had had for 3 yrs. and just new I would not like the IPhone, well I like it so far...IMO

I've had every iPhone since they have been introduced. I got tired of the limited personal control you got over your phone. I switched to the Samsung s3 and loved it AMAZING phone. Then the note 2 came out and I got that phone and WOW it's like the S3 but better. It will have to take something amazing to make me switch back. iPhone is already taking ques from android with the drop down info bar.
