Ok. I have a 2010 mule 610 XC and im taking it tomorrow to have a 2 in lift put on and i want to upgrade the tires. Id like to put something like itp mudlites on it because of were i hunt. Well i went over to the place today and they told me the itp's were gonna be too aggressive for my mule!???? They said that because of the aggressive treads on the mudlites id be back to see them for new axles and probably u joints. They said the 610 was also underpowered for those tires too. Im kinda shocked by this to tell you the truth. I have a 4 wheeler with lower cc's than my mule and ive had mudlites on it for ever with no problems. So i guess my question is, anyone got any thoughts on this? Anyone have aggressive mud tires on their mules? Problems with your mule after putting them on? And just another note, im not going out mudding with this thing. Its strickly a lease ride. No playing with it at all. Just driving around the lease. Only mud it will see is during the winter probably and ill be in 4 high the whole time just putting along.

I put ITP mud lites on my 4010 Mule once and they didnt last until the water got hot.. I prefer the Kenda Bear Claws now.. Ive got right at 750hours on the set Im running right now and they are just starting to wear. -
They are correct that by putting more aggressive tires on a mule, you will most certainly have problems down the road.
Stick with tires that are about the same diameter as the stock tires. A 610 has a relatively short wheel base so a lift and taller tires will not really make much difference.
A lift is a fairly harmless addition so if you want it to sit a little higher you should be fine. It is the large tires that create problems like you described in your post above.Comment
