Anyone one ride trail bicycles? I need info

Im thinking about getting a trail bike and start riding but I have no idea what kind to get, what size etc. I will probably be riding on the street/sidewalks and on trails. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Visit some bike shops. I'm not sure if there are some in Boerne, but there are several in San Antonio. You can look at the bikes, test ride them, and ask all the questions you have. Then you can make an informed decision on what kind of bike you need/want.

If were to give you any advice from working at a bicycle shop in the past life is be honest with the type of riding you are plan to do. If you are planning on sidewalks and some trails you can get off pretty cheap even a used bike if you find the right deal. A new good trail bike is not cheap but man has the tech changed for the better.

How tall are you? How experienced are you? Slow roller or speed demon? I have the answers, just let me know.

Check out Bicycle Sport Shops in Austin or Bike World off of 410 in San Antonio. Even if you don't buy a new one, the guys at BSS in Austin are pretty knowledgeable and could give you some good advice. I haven't been to Bike World, I've just seen it while passing by so I don't know anything about the people there. Looks to have a bunch of bikes though.

          I bought a 29er and I couldn't be happier. It's a full suspension Santa Cruz Tallboy Lt.

Visit a bike shop and get a bike that is the correct size for you. Expect to pay around $500-600 for a good entry level bike after taxes. Also, make sure to get a helmet.

Don't need a high dollar bike at first just in case I don't like it. I'll probably buy a used or cheaper bike for around 200-300

Gotta Ride in Fair Oaks... I ride both, those cats know their stuff. Get the right bike fitted to YOU at a bike shop. I'd hate to see another story of "my knees hurt...my butt hurts etc." and another person off a bike due to poor fittment. Do it right and you'll love it!

I've got a fat tire "Urban Assault" going on here in B-town at Spokes Bicycle shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6:30PM through the winter. Lights and helmet mandatory. Come on up .
