I have a couple of climbers that I use bungee cords to hold them together while walking in the woods. The problem is after I undo one end, they have a nasty habit of them falling to the ground, or getting lost while they are loose. I have a stupid simple fix for keeping them where you left them, while doing other things.
Take a short piece (about 2") of small diameter Polyvinyl tubing, and punch a small hole about 1/4" from one end. The hole needs to be just slightly smaller than the wire of the bungee cord. Those pliers type leather punches work real good for this.
Then feed the wire of the bungee cord through the hole of the tubing, and run it all the way to the coils. Then just flex the tubing until its able to stab the end of the wire and cover it.
Light weight and dirt cheap, got to love a fix like that. I hope that this helps out. I know I can't be the only person that has had this problem.
