Humm, not sure what is up with that! I have had mine for a few years. I am sure KellyG will see this and get your straightened if Cabela's cant.

What do you mean by "doesn't work"? Can you be more specific? It doesn't turn on? I have three of them. They all work fine. So, no...this hasn't happened to me.

thanks guys. i really like the product as a whole. i am by no means knocking it. the other one i had works great. i just was wondering if you guys have had a problem that i might be able to fix easily before driving back to cabela's. thanks again.

I've never had any trouble with mine. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever heard of one not working? Maybe a loose wire or something. I bet Kelly will take care of you if Cabela's doesn't.

I would first check the red button switch on the top of the housing. It will shut off the power to the switch. I use it to make sure I don't accedently run my battery down when transporting my bow, by having something leaning against the pressure switch. Second, I'd check the bulb. There should also be a spare bulb in the housing. Elements in bulbs can get knocked out by bouncing around. Third, check the wiring connections to make sure they did not pull loose.

well it works now!! i would not believe it myself, but i guess it was not the hawglite but the batteries that where duds. crazy. brand new durecels that did not work. i got up this morning and stop by heb to grab some new, new batteries on my way to cabela's to exchange this light. and i decided to try one more time before making the trip. and what do ya know, it works. needless to say i am using the energizer lithiums now. thanks for all of your input. who'd a thunk it.
