Walked around to the side of my house this evening and the ground is completely covered in acorns. This usually doesn't happen around here until into October. Anyone else noticed the early drop? I looked up in the tree and there are more acorns than I've ever seen too. Gonna make for a very hard hunting season in East Texas.

Same thing at my house. I was wondering why I wasnt seeing many deer at the feeder. I started looking around and had acorn everywhere.Comment

All ready started dropping at my place too. Some trees are already mature and dropping some are still small and growing. I am afraid they will be acorns from now until Thanksgiving.Comment

I noticed they were falling while dove hunting at the lease in mason last weekend. As green as everything is and the oaks loaded with acorns, it might be a tough season.Comment
