Unfortunately in these situations, you are the only one in a hurry. When I first got out of college I almost called and made an @#$ out of myself because I had not heard back on a position. I would rather hear a no and move on than hear nothing. Fortunately I stayed patient and got the position.

Hang in there. Sounds like things are moving in the right direction and you can be on your way to being a "trophy husband" and keep the kids and hunt the rest of the time
