first i have to admit that i am just pulling out my bow for the first time this year... but it seems to be shooting quite a bit slower than last year, the speed isnt a problem as its still shooting 278ish on the chrono (292 when i put it up last year)... still shooting tight groups just low... the problem is i am shooting a single pin sight and the yardage is now off, quite a bit... about 4 inches low at 20 yards and close to 7 at 30... didnt even shoot at 40... so my question is, what could be causing this? and since it is still shooting tight groups and still in line vertically at various distances, is it worth trying to correct this close to season or should i just change the yardage tape on the sight slide?

It sounds like your cable ans string have relaxed a little while setting up. I would mess with it but that is just me. If you do your own tuning, I would do it. If you let a shop do it I would do it also. You will be more confident if you know it is right and shooting good. I am trying a single pin to hunt with this year. I have only used it once at a 3D shoot and didn't score any better using it than with my 5 pin sight. Get it tuned or at least checked out. JMO.
