    Mathews Monster Accuracy??

For the guys that have one, How is the accuracy on the MR 5&6?? I think the furthest shot I would make is 60 yards. Can you group a 4-6 inch circle at that distance?? I loved the Helim but I love the speed of the Monsters and am strongly considering a Monster. The MR5 is a BEAST!!

I could when I lived in west Texas. I practiced out to 80 yards and was very consistant. I have the 6 for now

I owned both, and I shot both well. As long as either bow is properly tuned, you have correct form and have some shooting ability, your groups should be the same as with most any other bow.

I shoot an XLR8. It's a five incher. It's as accurate as you are. The only thing that I can be really consistent with is a hooter shooter, but my XLR8 shoots every bit as accurately as did my DXT. Far easier to shoot than you'd ever imagine. And, yes, they are fast. With light arrows it will give you the giggles. Mine seems to perform best for me with a heavy shaft though.

Accuracy on a bow is a relative term, given perfect shooting conditions and removal of the human element any high end bow Will consistently hit the same hole every time. That being said a bow with a shorter brace height such as the monster will be much more difficult for the "human element" to remain consistent without the forgiveness of a higher brace height such as a helium or z7

Yep what he said. Anymore, it's seldom the bows fault. If your form is good any bow after 2000 should be spot on.

i got the new mr7 the other day. if your worried about brace height try the 7 out, although i shot the 6 and it seemed spot on also. what sold me was at 70 lbs it was burying a CX hunter 350 to the fletchings!!

I have a Monster 7.0 and love it. Very accurate and smooth and the 7 inch brace height allows it to be more forgiving when the human element shows up. Hope that helps being it is a 7 and not a 5 or 6.

I shoot the 2012 MR7 and hold 4 to 5 inch groups at 90 yards very accurate. But as with any bow regardless if its a 5,6,7 or 8 inch brace height, it will be as accurate as the shooters consistency and form. What made me choose the MR7 was how well it balanced in my hand during and after the shot. Click image for larger version

                        That's a good lookin' M7.

Mine is dipped in ASAT, the next one will be black.

I got to shoot the MR5 the other day and at 20, she seemed right on!! I really like the speed but the hump is kind of rough, now i like the Helim as well but want more speed... A beautiful machine would be the combination of both!!
