Okay, I've seen over the past year when somebody posts up about a "hog problem" there are always suggestions "good time to break out the AR. I know all my stands are set-up for bow hunting, but others may have a rifle stand. My questions is:

Just how many pigs are you going to be able to shoot at a feeder with the AR? I would think, actually I know, that after the first shot, they scatter to points beyond.

Are you just going to pray and spray in hopes of getting more than one pig?

We always try and kill on the first shot and then let 'em fly after the first shot while they are running away. When there is not a lot of cover you can get some good clear shots 200-300 yards away.

Depends on the shooter, and the mood of the hogs.

I've shot 3 with a model 70 within about 6 seconds, had number 4 lined up and about to drop until the guy in the back of the pop-up blind decided to take a shot with his Glock, reaching over my shoulder.... :/

Would have loved to had my AR that day.

I shot 3 the other day with a Remington 742 in 06....I did not this time but..I try to line up 2 pigs and get 2 the first shot....

There was a video on here years ago where a guy got six from one group with a shotgun.

Earlier in the summer I killed 3 inside of 15 seconds with my 870.If I had an AR or anything with a 30 round mag,I think I could have got a couple more.

Best I've ever done with my AR is 9.

I got 7 out of a sounder once in a oat patch best I've done before or after has been 3. I also got 3 with 1 arrow once. But there have been lots of rounds shot at the suckers that hit dirt, when I got the 7 I was able to empty a 20rd mag
