Any word on Primos Feed Vault motors???

I need to replace one motor and get another this week for a new feeder. That said, I was at BPS yesterday and their feeder selection was shall I say... lacking? I went to Academy's website and saw the 6V Primos Feed Vault. It has a spinner plate that lowers like the Spin-Tech and Eliminator do, but at half the price. They have it for $59.

I have been wanting to change all my feeder motors out to 12V so I can use the 4 Spin-Tech adapter plates I bought for $30 each before last season. In the field I found out that they won't work on the smaller 6V motor's 1/8" shaft. The Spin-Techs do work with the heavy duty 6V motor's 1/4" shaft, but the motor needs a larger box. I have a spin-Tech on a 12V motor with no varmint cage and it works great. BTW the HD 6V and 12V motors are identical in size and shaft.

I just put two of these out this past weekend. I really like the design and concept, but wish it was made of metal instead of plastic.

I've had one out since turkey season, and just hung the second one today. I did hang these higher today. Each bucket holds right at 70 pounds.

Any pics of coons at it? Curious how this feeder holds up to the little bastages.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking he's a "pignoceros". Had to look up the spelling

Nope, especially on that one, coons can't get on it. I've been going strictly hanging feeders because of coons. I'm going to change one on big barrel because all the birds light on the motor and knock corn off.

I put one on a feeder a couple weeks ago cause the motor went out and I have coons bad. I'll check it this weekend and see how it's doing.

I saw those at academy last year and thought about getting one but then I remembered how the coons and squirrels destroyed one of my plastic barrels and decided against it. By the way, the coons also have figured out how to get corn out of the spin tech feeders on my lease, I watched them one night when I was pig hunting, they just pulled it down and got all the corn they wanted.
