It boils down to who you are hunting with. I manage two ranches and we have the community blind system for years and it has worked out fine. Everyone must provide one feeder and one blind (most bring two) and if your feeder has a problem or your blind needs paint you are responsible for that. Most like to hunt different areas but some hunt their favorites for various reasons and we all respect that. Two rules we do have is that you cannot hunt the same blind for more than 2 days in a row and second if two people want to hunt the same blind we cut high card. In over ten years we only had to cut high card once. Again it's all about the folks your hunting with and make sure they all know what your expectations are.

On my lease we all hunt our own stands. You can hunt someone elses, if they tell you its ok. Actually I don't think we are really supposed to even ask. I don't think I would like having community stand thing. Seems like it opens a whole can of worms. It might work better for smaller leases, but we have 19 hunters on 5,000 acres. Don't think that a community stand system would work for us.

I'm not a fan of mandatory community blinds but if a group of hunters can agree to a set of guidelines for sharing blinds, that has worked well for us in the past.

No bueno for bowhunting. Can work with rifle blinds with good friends.

I read this thread and it hits really close to home. I am on a lease with basically family members. Three of us pay for the lease but have sons and such hunt on it with us. As several have stated earlier, it depends on the people on the lease. We have one that doesn't like anyone to hunt his set up but I have taken alot of pleasure in letting my son and nephews hunt my set up so they could get on a deer. Four of the six people on our lease have killed their first deer out of my stand. We do share all expenses and work and
though I realize the family thing is different than your situation, I am just letting you know that there is a rewarding side to sharing. Maybe it is a newer hunter, or a young one, but if you want to get your "trophy" and then maybe let someone hunt your set up or hunt with you in your setup, there is a whole new meaning to the word "trophy" when you do something like that.

I've had both. I'm not a fan of sharing blinds except with very good friends who have the same beliefs about scent control, what deer to take ect.

                Depends on the people.
