    Sea Foam vs Lucas

Which do you prefer when it comes to additives for your diesel fuel? Been using Lucas but thinking about making the switch and giving Sea Foam a try for a bit.

My Powerstroke likes Diesel Kleen. Never tried SF or Lucas and dont plan on it as long as Diesel Kleen is available.

How often are y'all adding additive to your fuel?

I use Diesel Kleen in my cummins 6.7, about every 5th or 6th tank.

The ones mentioned? Maybe once a year. Some boost lubricity, which is the only reason I see using them with any frequency. I like 2-stroke, for that purpose.

                    Lucas for 247K miles...

Does Sea Foam have any lube properties?... I used it in my outboards to breakdown carbon and remember it being like B12 Chemtool.

It does. I'm not sure it's sufficient for getting ulsd where it should be, though.

X2 The one with the purple label. Less than half the price as Lucas in IMHO better.
