Tonight Bass Pro Shops finally made it Grand opening in Denham Springs Louisiana. It has been a long time coming. We arrived at 4 PM with police and traffice assistants everywhere. The parking lot was already at near full capacity. I have not ever been to a BPS grand opening but man this sure was a large time to be had for all. The store opened at 6 PM and it seems that BPS plans to donate 1/2 of the take tonight to conservation efforts. We waited a little while but I really do not prefer large crowds so we decided to come back another time to enjoy the store. We stopped by the local Cabelas and there were maybe 20 customers in the store. Amazing, but Cabelas had a big To-Do when they opened as well. We passed BPS on the way home around 6:15 and the traffic on the interstate had increased dramatically. It was standing room only in the freaking parking lot and more folks were pouring in. Maybe everyone wanted to have half their money go to conservation efforts. Oh well... I cannot wait to get in there and check it out. Just a "Heads-Up" for all the South Louisiana folks, they are now open!!! The store is located right on the side of I-12 in Denham Springs, Louisiana!!

Hey Mike, surely there was something worth standing in line for! You could've got some new gear for your next Texas hog hunt and helped the LA wildlife at the same time... surely that would've been worth waiting for! We hit the Cabellas on our last trip to Houma, didn't get to spend near enough time in it.
Just in case your wondering... this is Dave's brother-in-law Anthony. Hope to see ya in March!

Hey man, great to hear from you! I do not think half of those folks will even get in the door tonight. I am talking thousands of people not hundreds of people. I help Louisiana wildlife plenty by eliminating all the old and weak. Just trust me when I say I am geared up and stand ready to hog hunt at all times!! heheheh
