    Windows wifi help

I recently moved into an apartment and am having Internet issues. All three of my roommates have Internet access, but I keep getting a message that the network is "unidentified." Signal is good, password is correct but no access. I am not computer savvy. Are there any settings I can change? Advice?

    Thanks.

What version of Windows, what type of wireless security, does your computer have any updates that need to be installed, have you rebooted your computer?

Windows 7, not sure, no and yes. It's intermittent now, currently working but quits for a while about every 5 minutes.

And yes I'm connecting to the correct network.

for 'unidentified' network, you need to tell Windows and/or your anti-virus software if this is a "Trusted" network (home, work, etc.) or "Untrusted" network (coffee shop, bus stop, etc). This answer is used to help determine how your firewall should be configured. Likely it is locking you out of any/all networking until you answer this question.

            ttt.

Thanks, it's already designated as a home network.
