    Tragic find...

This past Friday I get a call from my wife crying, she was driving into our neighborhood and saw a bike laying on the curb, she slowed down thinking a kid was going to run out in front of her or something. But what she found was tragic, a 19 year old laying face down in the center median, she called to him to see if he was alright, she got no response, she then saw what at the time she thought was him jolt/seize and quickly called 911. The cops where on seen in less than a minute and began CPR. When the ambulance arrived they loaded him up and took him to the ER. As it turns out the young man had a pace maker and the jolt my wife saw was not a seizure but the pace maker I guess trying to start his heart back, I'm not for sure exactly how it works but that was the jist of the explanation we got. Unfortunately the boy did not make it and my wife was pretty torn up about it, nothing more she could have done in this situation as the boy had many prior health problems according to Police. Also to make matters worse he had no ID on him so they were only able to ID him from his pace maker so the family wasn't aware until well after he had passed.

Also we learned from the police this family has been under investigation, the boy & family are all illegals and living in a 2 story home in our neighbor hood with apx. 22 other illegal asians, another reason it was so difficult to ID him.

Sucks illegal or not it's still a human. Good for your wife for being a good samaritan.

That pacemaker was a combo pacer/defibrillator. Thoughts for all involved.
