    Gun shows are worthless...

can't believe I pay for both sat & sunday to walk around and just look...at all the same people with the same stuff on thier last table.

I do notice that I never tend to find any deals when I stay home.Click image for larger version

That looks like some nice buys. I usually only go to gun shows when I'm looking for something to do

I'm usually at gun shows just to get out of the house too.

Gun Shows are like Flea Markets; they have turned into another form of retail. They never have any deals, items are over-priced, and the only deals to be had are from other attendees trying to sell their own stuff. They are only good for spending some time away from the TV, and getting out of the house on the weekends.

Pretty much sums it up for me... Around Houston, there's one almost every weekend somewhere... GRB, Pasadena Convention Center, Conroe Lone Star Center, Reliant Center...

I swore off anything at Reliant Center because of the Stupidly ridiculous parking fees and exorbitant entry fees to the events... It would have to be a heck of a deal to offset the cost of getting to actually stand at the place the deal is struck, especially when you compare that to what you can do with a computer right from the comfort of your home...

i tend to agree with you on most of my recent walkthroughs, although gunshows are pretty easy for me as I don't look at new guns. I had to pass up some other money makers due to cash flow. They had a decent showing & had lots of old rigs. I spent $10 getting in the show both days.

Man I did well with snap on tools @ the various fleamarkets / pawns over the years.

Haven't been to flea in 5+ years?? There is one in rio I should venture into once it cools off. Might be all kinds of picks.

Gunshows have gone the way of Pawn Shops. It used to be that you could find good buys at Pawn Shops, now they are asking almost what it would cost new on their used stuff. Gunshows are no differtent anymore. They are completely nuts on their used guns.

I've worked about 200 gun shows and the deals are still out there! just gotta know the value of what your lookin at and don't be afraid to BS a little! I like the ones in Wyo. the most - they check everyones gun comin in and then open up the overhead doors everywhere and it's a free for all! Colo. is kinda funny as you can openly trade guns anywhere but a gun show! So afterward it's a Zoo of people running from car to car finishing deals! LOL!!

Yup....quit going to them since the guns were no cheaper than retail stores.

I'm getting tired of the end of the world nuts trying to jack up prices. Had a vendor trying to sell roughly used M16 magazines for $25 a piece?!?! Said they're getting all smashed and shredded, he made a killing on all the guys just wanting him to shut up and take his money

Man. Last time I did a Houston show I couldn't give a gun away. And I was cheep. Nobody was buying. That was in 2008.
