    fixed or mechanical?

lol call off the dogs guys!! asking because my wife has gotten into bowhunting over the off season and now that its gettin close to season im curious with the lower poundage if you get the same amount of penetration between mechanical or fixed? my initial thought was they would be the same just want to reassure that theory.

You'll get better penetration with a fixed cut on contact head out of a lower poundage bow.

Use a fixed blade. A buzzcut two blade would work great.

Man what a can of worms you have opened Brother.Hopefully you will get good advise. There are some very strong opinionated folks on hear, most mean well.My advice would be to steer away from Mech unless you can find a true cut on contact tip.The Tekans from G5 would be ok.My wife shoots them but she is also drawing 47lbs and shooting 260fps.Lower poundage bows need all the KE they can get and a Fixed COC head will help allot. My recommendation would be the Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts. They are solid, fly well, sharp out of the package and lifetime warranty. You break it....send it back.....they send you a new one or another package.

I'm trying the QAD exodus this year! I've used rage the last couple of years, they haven't failed me and I will still have a few in my quiver. Just heard good stuff on the qad's

I just don't trust a mechanical head, I know they work but not for me.

Fixed heads never fail. Why take the chance?

Fixed or COC for low poundage bows and/or short draws.
