    Leupold help?

Just bought my first Leupold. It came on a used gun. All of my other scopes are Nikons. The scope is older. I think it is a Vari - X II. I took off the wind caps and the adjustment is different than any I have seen. It doesn't tell my how far one click should move bullet up, down, left. or right. Somebody please give me the lesson that I am in dire need of.

Post a quick pic of the turrets

They are likely "friction adjustments" with a numbered dial you can adjust after scope is fine tuned

Do you have an email I can shoot pics to? Never posted pics on here. Maybe you can give me a lesson on too! Thanks for your help. PM if you like.

Yup if they don't click its just friction. If they do each click is 1/4" moa @ 100 yards.

If they are friction (no clicks) you will have a series of numbers... 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10... Each number is 2" moa @ 100 yards... But you can set it ANYWHERE between the two numbers to fine tune.

Yes. Just has 3x9 in red and the numbers are 1,2,3,4,5 instead of 2,4,6,8, and 10.

No clicks guys. So I gather it is friction. Is it still 2" between each number if my numbers are 1,2,3,4, and 5?

Turn it clock wise for left

                        Counter clock wise for right.

The top of the dial is slotted for a penny or nickel to turn and adjust

The fine line ( or black arrow) perpendicular to the slot is your fine tuning (U , D , L , R) reference to the numbered dial

Sight in your rifle and turn the slotted top turret until "zero" is achieved

Chase your bullet hole by adjusting the slotted turret

Once "zero" is found , move the numbered dial to where 0 is matched up with the scribed line (see my pic above)
