    Mini Dachshunds?

Anybody know of good breader or family that has mini-dachshund pups in north Texas?

The wife wants a mini or a small standard, short hair, female.

    Thanks

Don't know of any breeders, but ours is 7 and she is the best dog I have ever had. Stubborn, and smart all in the same package. That dog lives for the time of day when we get home and she gets to play ball!

Im on my third now. They are very quirky, highly intelligent, and super affectionate. There are very stubborn strong-willed dogs. They make a great pet though.

Thanks, for the input guys. My wife has had several dachshunds growing up. We are looking to add one to our family.

I should've been more specific... Does anybody know of mini-dachshund pups for sale?

Wish that I could help you but I wanted to throw out that they are more than just pets...mine will run a blood trail. He has found several deer that we would have never found without him.

I don't have the details on me at the moment, but I do know a great breeder here in East Texas. I know he has puppies right now because a good friend of mine just went and picked one up. They are out in Porter, Texas (Just North of Houston on US 59). The guys name is Martin Kowis. I'll get you a number if you like. That's a bit far from you, but I can personally vouch for his pups. My has one that she got from Martin that will be 18 years old in the spring... He's been raising Mini's for over 30 years...

Thanks again guys. Ya, Porter is a bit far for a pet that I will not be working. This pup will only be for my wife to spoil as a indoor dog.

I have heard that dachshunds make great blood trail dogs, but this one is not for me. My wife will probably not even let this one sleep outside, much less do any tracking.
