My son just left for his sophomore year at Angelo State. It gets a little easier.

We are in the same boat. We are moving our freshman son to Denton tomorrow for his start at UNT.

I'm ready for him to go, moms a different story. I would imagine there will be a crying session tomorrow afternoon- good thing I'm driving.

I know that feeling, happy and sad at the same time. Mine started her journey in college last year. House was definitely different with her gone. Took me a while to get use to her being essentially on her own. You have done your job, but your job is not over. Now its time to make sure she knows you are still supporting her from a far. With technology, you can skype instead of phone calling. Pretty cool. She'll be back home for holidays and summer. Mine just left again last week for her second year. Great job and good luck!

Same here. The baby just left last week and moved to Houston to attend Rice. This makes 2 girls in college and one just graduated. Kinda quiet around the house. Good luck to all the new college students and parents.
