Another freezer bites the dust:( Just gotta vent

Just got a call from the wife. It seems our lovely freezer died over the last day - day and a half Lost all but about 3 packs of venison burger.

Anyone know of a good brand of freezer (that stays out in the garage)?

Anyone know of any used ones for sale, before I hit craigslist?

Anyone know of any cheap meat hunts coming up? Gotta replace what was lost.

You know the old saying of people passing away in 3's. Is that true things breaking around the house, or is it just murphy's law. In the past month its been a $1,500 car repair bill on my wifes vehicle, washer died, now the freezer, (O yea, and we think we might have termites)!!!!!! It's been a rough summer!!!!!

The last freezer I bought sam's and lowe's had the cheapest. Don't know about quality

I know it's too late now but for future reference, get a freezer with a power off alarm.

Also, a battery backup surge protector... like sold at Best Buy for computers.

I will check and see what brand mine is when I get home. It has been running (in the garage) for 2yrs without a hicup. Mine is a stand up with an alarm on it if the door is open for like 10min. I bought it at a scratch and dent for like $200. It has been a great freezer. We use it for everything.
