Having trouble uploading avatar pics

Can someone help me!!! I'm fairly new to TBH and I can get my avatar pic uploaded. Everytime I try it tells me "File upload fail". What am I doing wrong?

The problem I had at first what the size of the pic, check this first. When you try to upload a pic,( on the same screen) it tells you the max size that your pic can be. Just resize and it will probaly work.

Tracker was right. After I opened the pic in photo editor and resized it, it worked. I had to get it under 17K.
