    Trapping Coyotes

Our neighborhood has had a bit of a coyote problem...sightings, pets missing, etc. Our little girls cat disappeared on Sunday and we just got a call from a neighbor that he spotted a yote carrying a cat off that fit our discription Sunday morning.

anyway...what are the rules for trapping these predators? We back up to a several thousand acre public park with heavily wooded areas...and theres not doubt that it's where they are coming from.

Just wondering...might be a fun little project.

That's a tough one. With people and pets around, your best bet is reporting the problem to the county. Coyotes aren't hard to catch with snares and steel traps but I wouldnt go that route on public property.

He's an outdoor/indoor cat. I didn't see the abduction, so I couldnt tell you. yotes can easily hop our privacy fence if they wanted to.
