    Anyone read Field & Stream?

    Did you see this?
    From the May2012 issue:

And I'm thinking, "Why not just put the tailgate down?"

    From the July2012 issue:

I couldn't help but laugh: "Deluxe model"!

I figured that out when trying to load a big hog by myself on a hunt about 25 years ago. When I got to camp every one asked how I loaded the hog by myself. I just looked at one arm and then the other and said, with these guns right here. They all laughed at me but they never figured it out.

It's amazing the size of animals you can move by yourself when the adrenalin is flowin and you are pumped!

I had no idea people ever tried to load animals over the gate. I did see that issue and kind of laughed to myself. Missed the letter to the editor.

Did this as well when I was 15. 200-225lb hog into a pikp with a 3" lift and non opening tailgate (like the pic, lol).
Only dad knew how I did it and he kept my secret, the others called me He-Man up until we left the lease 6 years later, lol.

Sadly enough, there are folks who have the occasional non-opening model and then unhook and drive away from a gooseneck trailer.

This reminds me of the "butt-out tool" they sell...

Dealers love him. "And for an extra thousand we will throw in a fully functioning tailgate!"

That's why it's illegal to ride in the back of a pickup. With an inoperable tailgate, the passengers might drown if it ran off the road into a pond or lake and they couldn't get it open.
