Went to pick up a handgun delivered from my father in CA, which he had his gun shop dilever to my gun shop in Austin, filled out all paper work and the gentleman called whoever it is you call and he said there is a 3 day hold for me to take home? I asked him why the hold. He said he couldn't tell me. So what does this mean?

Ok, kinda thought that be the case. Did have some issues back in the day, but no convictions. Thats definitely the reason then. I have never been convicted of anything more than a DUI years ago. ThanksComment

It could be nothing even. My buddy buys alot of guns and about every third pistol he gets a 3day hold. He (according to him and I believe him) has never even had a traffic ticket.Comment

No worries. If they say denied, then you've done something. Delays are pretty normal. I sold gun for four years and about every 10th or so gun sale was a delay.Comment

OK, feeling better now. I know all my past pending charges were dismissed and "expunged" but i know they dont disappear..Since then I've been clean as a whistle. Thanks guys!!!Comment

nothing to worry about. I get delayed everytime i try to buy a rifle or shotgun. For some reason I don't get delayed when buying handguns.Comment
