Bears in Texas!

Per the endangered species biologist I spoke with, no bears have been relocated to Texas. It was an idea bounced around a few years ago by the Black Bear Group but it was ultimately decided against. For the record the bear sightings, and there are a bunch, are a result of natural migrants from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

The deer feeder industry in the State of Texas has just been redefined, I've never seen a bear proof feeder.

the sugarcane farmers ain't happy in lousiana but it is part of the eco system now. Oh, i rather a bear damaging my feeder than these dang hogs.

There were nine confirmed sightings this deer season in cass county. They have been introducing them back in the area. They have also been seen around the sabine bottoms in panola county.
