But something is missing and I can find what it is? I don't know if I'm burnt out or need to try someting else. Has any one ran into this problem?

Make the sacrifices now, go back to school now..don't wait. It will pay off in the long run. It won't be easy!

Go back to school now. It only gets harder. No, it is not too late. My grandmother went back to school in her 70s and graduated.

But discuss it with your wife. She'll be making sacrifices as well.

Never quit learning. And it is never too late to start.

if you graduated in 07 i would def suggest going back or at least doing online classes now. It wont be long before you are up for a better position and a degree or the fact that you would be enrolled in college classes will only help your case. I grad college in 09 and it took 2 jobs but now my degree is paying off and i am making decent money. The loans do suck tho

My grad date was 87 retired military and going back to school full time to finish my BA don't think it is ever to late to learn. I have an MBA from the school of hard nocks but that don't look good on a resume.

you are young and have 60+ years ahead of you. I went to fire school at 32. If you desire something different and believe school will make it a reality then yes, go and get'er done.

                Do it if you can....

I was 24 when I decided to go back, I was a Project Manager in Oil Exploration (Seismograph Survey), making plenty of money.

It was a great job, but we worked 7 days a week, as long as we could, longest stretch I ever pulled was over 90 days. I knew a family would be difficult on the road like that, so I went back to college.

I did not take out any student loans until my very last semester, was 9K for one semester, I wanted to lighten my work load my last semester. I will say that that was the hardest thing I ever did in my life, and if I had to do it all over again I don't know that I would. I worked my arse off throughout, every summer, from the last day of classes to the first day the next semester I was in the oil field, during the school year I ran a lawn bussiness, took contracts with the state to clear hwy frontage, waited tables and everything in between to get it done, and every last penny I handed over for tuition, books, truck note and rent (spending money was a distant memory). I can't tell you how many times I wanted to give up, that was the brokest and most miserable I have ever been in my life. I actually drove to cash jobs without enough gas to get back home, they didn't pay, I didn't go home!!!

Fast forward to today and I am sitting in my home office on the green screen, with a base salary that tops my best year in the oil patch, got a beatiful wife and a daughter (and one on the way), that I put to bed every night, so in the end, I got the desired result, but do not expect it to be easy. Being older, the grades will be easy, but the burden of money and time will weigh on you and your family. This is not meant to discourage you, just prepare you for what you are getting into.

I guess in short, it is definately not too late.

It's never to late, go back to back school and get your degree then go back and get more schooling. As stated already, never stop learning keep your education going and going.

Do it.. I waited almost 7 years after high school to go back. I have been in Iraq a few times and have plenty other excuses. I make a good living but need my BA to become a Marine Patrol or Game Warden when I retire in 13 years. Hell I joined military so I didn't have to go to school. Times change and so do minds.

Absolutely not! I didn't start college until 09 (I was 28). I have since gotten my associates and now I'm working on my bachelors. Good luck to ya!

Never too late, I went back to college at 58 years old. It is amazing how much better I did this time than my first year way back when.

I began going to college in 1988 and finished in 1999. The first two years was ok, wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but did know I wanted a degree.

In 1990, I began working full-time for the Louisiana Army National Guard. While working full-time and serving in the Guard, I went to school part-time, until start of 1998. I went back to school full-time and knock out the remaining courses to graduate in May 1999.

You're at the right age to get it done, so if you degree is important to you go for it. There will never be a better time.

I myself am at a cross road in life. Do I pursue a MBA or find my own business?

When you go back, push forward and get your MBA in the field of your choosing. My concern right now is in the Large Business world, not having my MBA, I've limited myself in what positions I can compete for. And with more thirty somethings, showing up with them, I feel I'm at a disadvantage.

Hope this helps in your decision or relieves your concern if you've waited to late. I don't think you did, and in fact, you focus on school may be improved when you return.
